Most companies plug in a ready-made cookie plugin โ and with real use (a scanner, categories, consent logs) it quickly turns out you have to buy a plan, while the plugin itself piles on a lot of external code and slows the site down. For companies that simply want to be GDPR-compliant, without overpaying and without bloated all-in-one tools, we built a lightweight, bespoke consent banner: full compliance, Google Consent Mode v2, automatic script blocking until consent, a consent log and a built-in scanner for cookies and scripts. Modular architecture
Each element is a separate class: the banner, script blocking (script-blocker), consent mode (consent-mode v2), the consent log (consent-log), the scanner (scanner) with a signature database of known services (signatures), the admin panel and the REST endpoints. A clean separation of responsibilities = stability and easy growth.
Script blocking and Consent Mode v2
Tracking scripts are held back until consent (they do not load "just in case"), and after the user's decision the appropriate signals are passed to Google's tools in line with Consent Mode v2. The default state is safe โ zero tracking without consent.
Scanner and consent log
The built-in scanner detects the cookies and scripts present on the site and matches them to categories by the signatures of known services, which eliminates manual guessing. Every consent goes to the log โ a practical proof of compliance in case of questions or an audit.
